Today I finally managed to get the Builder in to look into some of my unit defects. Nothing major, just teething issues. The roof in the balcony is staining which implies some leakage, window misalignment, tap problem. ..etc.

The good thing about Australia is the flexible working arrangements. My company allows me to work from home (permanently if I wish) and it really helps when you have people coming in for repairs and wanna save leave.
There are all sorts of working arrangement such as permanent part time, part time, permanent full time - macam macam. Imagine asking this from your asian boss. He will say...
Lu bapak punya company ??

Granted, not all company offers flexi hours but most does. You are entitled to work life balance. You are in control of how much time you want to work. They recognize OT as additional effort not as something taken for granted and you will be suitably compensated.
Of course no free lunch also. Work less earn less. Fair right?

This kinda flexi arrangements while very good for individuals is a pain in the bum when you are trying to arrange a meeting with a group of people. Some meetings can't never happen because they don't have overlapping working days.

So this is me earning my keep at home using my dining table as temporary work desk. Yes I do have a proper table in my study but the food trolley is just behind the dining table. Need I say more?
Do you know that I can claim tax deduction for working from home?
